Wreck MMA: Unstoppable Wrap up

So Wreck MMA: Unstoppable has come and gone. With another successful event in the books we have created quite a few new memories for our MMA fans here in Ottawa/Gatineau. The night started off with Wreck MMA's own President Nick Castiglia walking out of the cage victorious via TKO, overcoming his opponent Paul Cressaty with some GnP. Cedric Grenon then went on to defeat Paul Ebejer with a rear naked choke in the first. After that came Chris St. Jean against Ken McLeod with Chris winning with a rear naked at 1:19 of the first round. Randy Turner then went up against Rich Chau taking the win through ground and pound. Lindsey Hawkes and Nathan Gunn then went to war with the fight being stopped in the second round due to a cut under Lindsey's eye. The sixth fight of the evening between Mike Sledzion and Marc Lefebvre ended in the first round with a vicious knockout leaving the crowd in silence. With a battle for fight of the night Dan Chambers defeated Craig Brown with only 6 seconds left in the first. Gideon Ray succombed to a very speedy heel hook applied by Surgey Juskevic. The first title fight of the night ended with the crowd very upset at the referee stoppage, handing the Wreck MMA lightweight title to Brad Cardinal.Nabil Khatib then had a tough go with Markhaile Wedderburn in the first round but coming out on top in the second finishing Markhaile with soe GnP. The main event of the night kept fans on the edge of their seats but ultimately John `The Haggis Basher`Fraser walked out of the venue as the new Wreck MMA bantamweight champ. Wreck MMA would like to thank all those who helped make this event possible including the staff at the Hilton Lac Leamy, The team at Wall Sound and Lighting, The Score production team, but most of all our dedicated volunteers who worked the long hard hours to make the show a success!
